Proton's e.MAS7 EV to be official car for Asean chairmanship

Malaysia’s first electric vehicle (EV), the e.MAS7, will serve as the official car during the nation’s Asean chairmanship next year, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced on Monday (Dec 16).
At the launch of the e.MAS7, Anwar emphasised the government’s commitment to supporting the Proton-Geely joint venture and advancing sustainable transportation.
Anwar added that the e.MAS7 aligns with Malaysia’s net-zero emissions goal and the nation’s low-carbon mobility blueprint, marking a significant step towards a greener future.
