PTPTN collects RM197mil in repayment via APH service

The National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) collected RM197mil in loan repayments through debt negotiation agencies (APH) between July 2025 and May 2026, a 6.4% increase from the same period last year.

Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir informed the Special Chamber session at the Dewan Rakyat on Tuesday (July 7) that the agencies only pursue borrowers with arrears exceeding 10 years after PTPTN's collection efforts have failed, while those facing financial hardship can still appeal for repayment plans based on their financial circumstances.
