Veteran newsman Datuk Abdul Kadir Jasin clarified that it was his decision to resign as head of media and communications for the Council of Eminent Persons following criticism against his blog post on the Yang di-Pertuan Agong’s upkeep and personal expenditure. He also defended PKR adviser Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s four-day visit to London for a series of meetings with British ministers, saying it doesn’t matter whether he has the official capacity or not.
