Putra Heights inferno: Selangor education department to help affected students continue schooling

Only about 20% of students affected by the Putra Heights gas pipeline fire and housed at the temporary evacuation centre (PPS) attended school on Monday (April 7), said Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari.

He said the state education department will deploy officers and support teams to the PPS to ensure the affected students can continue their education despite the disruption.

Amirudin also announced that Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated) will provide RM500 in assistance to each of the affected students.
