The Kuala Lumpur High Court has ordered for former national diving squad coach Huang Qiang to enter his defence on a charge of raping a national diver last year. The court ruled that the Sessions Court judge had erred when she discharged Huang without calling for his defence.
In April, Huang, who is from China, was released after the Sessions Court found the prosecution had failed to establish prima facie in the case.
Huang was charged with raping a young national diver at the National Aquatic Centre in Bukit Jalil at 5.30pm on Sept 26 last year.
