Ridiculous and preposterous, Jho Low never cooked pasta for my family, Zeti tells court

Former Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) governor Tan Sri Dr Zeti Akhtar Aziz told the High Court in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday (Aug 15) that fugitive businessman Low Taek Jho, better known as Jho Low, had never visited her and cooked pasta for her family at her residence in Bukit Tunku.
The 76-year-old witness said this during former premier Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak’s trial involving the misappropriation of RM2.3bil in 1MDB funds, and also denied the allegation made by former Goldman Sachs banker Tim Leissner that Zeti’s husband Datuk Dr Tawfiq Ayman had received bribes so that the US$1bil meant for the 1MDB-Petrosaudi joint venture was able to leave the country without BNM’s approval.
