RM1,500 recalibration fee for rehiring of foreign workers to stay, says Saifuddin

The RM1,500 fee for rehiring foreign workers under the recalibration programme will remain, says Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail.
The Home Minister said that on Friday (Jan 27) when asked to comment on calls by certain quarters to abolish the fee, adding that there was no reason for the fees to be reduced or abolished.
Saifuddin said the recalibration programme recorded more than RM700mil in revenue for the government last year, that the programme is beneficial as it is able to fulfill the demand for workers.
