RM10mil allocated to upgrade 113 religious schools in Johor

A total of RM10mil has been allocated to repair and upgrade 113 religious schools in Johor, says Datuk Dr Mohd Na'im Mokhtar.
The Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs) said on Sunday (Jan 21) that the upgrading works will also be carried out at sekolah pondok, private religious schools and tahfiz schools, and added that the Prime Minister's Department had channelled RM1.5mil to aid flood victims in Johor.
Meanwhile, Johor Islamic Religious Affairs Committee chairman Mohd Fared Mohd Khalid said that the state government has requested another RM20mil from the ministry to help an additional 120 religious schools in the state.
