RM106mil drug bust at sea, MMEA scores biggest haul to date

The Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) scored its biggest drug haul in its 16-year history when they foiled an attempt to smuggle into the country methamphetamine worth a whopping RM105.9mil.
MMEA director-general Maritime Admiral Datuk Mohd Zubil Mat Som said that on Sunday, adding that in the bust that took place near Pulau Kendi on Wednesday (Dec 9), MMEA personnel confiscated 2,118kg of methamphetamine and arrested a 26-year-old suspect.
