The RON95 petrol subsidy rationalisation must be implemented carefully to avoid burdening the public, says a government lawmaker.

During the question session in the Dewan Rakyat on Thursday (July 11), Datuk Seri Dr. Wee Ka Siong (BN-Ayer Hitam) queried Economy Minister Rafizi Ramli about the relationship between the information from the Central Database Hub (Padu) and the Budi Madani aid program, and whether net disposable income and locality parameters were considered for Budi Madani.

Rafizi confirmed that information from Budi Madani is cross-checked with Padu, and added that the government is finalising a standard operating procedure (SOP) for agencies to use Padu data for program development and cross-checking.
