The Parliament lobby had a moment of ruckus after a group of university students were stopped by security guards from handing over a memorandum on the Universities and Colleges Act 1971 (UUCA) to Education Minister Dr Maszlee Malik.
The varsity students said they want the Education Ministry to abolish Section 15 and 16 of the University and Colleges act.
The situation calmed down after several MPs came to listen to the students’ views and agreed to relay their message to Dr Maszlee.
