Sabah's special grant interim payment increased to RM1.5bil, says PM

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has agreed to raise Sabah’s special grant interim payment from RM600mil to RM1.5bil.
Speaking at the state-level Kaamatan festival in Kota Kinabalu on Saturday (May 30), Anwar said the increase is a temporary measure pending the finalisation of negotiations and a mechanism for Sabah’s 40% revenue entitlement.
He said the Madani government remains committed to fulfilling the entitlement, stressing that there is no dispute over the matter.
