The Sarawak Forestry Department has been told to suspend the logging permit issued to an oil palm company that was clearing land next to the Mulu National Park. The Star learned on Wednesday that the advice to suspend the logging came from Mulu state assemblyman Datuk Gerawat Gala after heated confrontations between native groups and the plantation’s company workers.
