Sarawak launches 3-day cloud seeding to fill dams, tackle haze

Sarawak has launched a three-day cloud seeding operation to boost declining water levels at key hydroelectric dams and help mitigate worsening haze conditions ahead of an expected dry spell next month.

Sarawak Deputy Premier Datuk Douglas Uggah Embas said the operation began on Thursday (Sept 3), targeting major dams including Batang Ai in Sri Aman, as well as Bakun and Murum in northern Sarawak.
