Saving Khon Kaen's 100-year-old train station

The 100-year-old Tha Phra Railway Station in Khon Kaen, Thailand is at risk of being demolished by the State Railway of Thailand (SRT) to make way for a new railway.
However, the Tha Phra mayor is in talks with SRT to purchase the old station and to convert it into a learning centre.
The local community is showing their support by helping to raise funds to develop the vicinity.
They have collected Bt100,000 (US$2900) so far.
