Shop assistant gets nine years' jail for reckless driving, causing death of cop in Johor

A shop assistant was fined almost RM37,000 and sentenced to nine years’ jail after pleading guilty to driving dangerously and causing the death of a policeman - Kons Nicolester Dadup Unggat, along Jalan Kangkar Tebrau-Jalan Tun Teja in Johor on Nov 1.
The accused, Mohamad Shafiq Lokman, 25, pleaded guilty to four charges before Magistrates Mohd Zaki Abd Rahman and Nurasidah A. Rahman at two separate courts on Sunday (Nov 8).
