Sikh veterans’ sacrifice for the country must be remembered, says Gobind

Communications and Multimedia Minister Gobind Singh Deo has urged the younger generation to appreciate and honour those who have served the country including the Sikh veterans, and urged them to also enlist and serve in the arm forces.
Gobind said that in his speech at the inaugural Heritage Night and Charity Dinner on Sunday, organised by Malaysian Armed Forces Sikh Veterans Association (MAFSVA).
Themed “Service and Sacrifice of Malaysian Sikhs in the Police and Military since 1873”, the funds raised will go towards the preservation heritage and history connected to Sikhs, with the preservation of the ‘Green Ridge’, a World War II battle site in Kampar, Perak.
