Sikh workers of the Death Railway

The infamous Death Railway from Thailand to Burma was built more than 76 years ago by prisoners of war and slave labourers.
Besides the Tamils, Chinese and Malays, a large group of Sikhs from Malaya also worked on the construction of this railway.
Their grueling role in the railway’s construction remains a little known story.
These were some of the Sikhs who were assigned to the Death Railway.
