Sim: Human Resources Ministry targets 1.5mil social security contributors by year-end

The Human Resources Ministry aims to register one million contributors under the Self-Employment Social Security Scheme (SKSPS) and 500,000 contributors under the Housewives’ Social Security Scheme (SKSSR) by the end of the year, says Minister Steven Sim.
During the winding-up of the Supply Bill 2025 debate at the committee stage on Thursday (Nov 21), Sim called on Members of Parliament to support the Social Security Organisation (Socso) in promoting these schemes within their constituencies.
