Sisters in Islam’s statistics show the number of Muslims asking for legal advice on polygamy is on the rise, and one of the factors was due to the weakening legal protection for the current wife, which has made it easier for Muslim men to marry more wives.
Deputy women, family and community development minister Hannah Yeoh on Friday officiated the launch of the Telenisa booklet and acknowledged the importance of SIS’s work.
