Socso Act amendments to cover tragedies outside workplace on the cards, says deputy minister

Amendments for the Employees' Social Security Act 1969 might be tabled in the next parliamentary session to include protection for tragedies outside of the workplace, says Deputy Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri Abdul Rahman Mohamad.

He said that the Cabinet has agreed since March this year for the Human Resource Minister to implement the scheme for non-employment disaster social security which will protect those who are not in employment.
