Soldiers killed in friendly fire

Ten soldiers were killed in Marawi City after a bomb was dropped on them. The Philippines Secretary of National Defence Delfin Lorenzana confirmed this and said the men were casualties of a friendly fire. Air Force jets on an aerial campaign in Marawi City had dropped bombs on Islamist Militants positions. Lorenzana said one of the jets has missed its mark causing the deaths of the soldiers. The matter is being investigated by the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
