Tan Sri Annuar Musa said Standard operating procedures (SOP) will be drawn up to allow open air market traders and hawkers to start operating and will be presented to the National Security Council (MKN).
Speaking to reporters after a dialogue with Kepong market traders on Friday (May 29), the Federal Territories minister said he had instructed Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) and market traders' associations to come up with a list of SOPs that would allow them to reopen.
Under the movement control order (MCO), open-air markets are prohibited from operating and traders fear that they may have to remain closed if the MCO is extended after June 9.
