South Korea's notorious child sex offender released from prison amid outrage

After serving a 12-year-term in prison, a 69-year-old South Korean man convicted for the rape of a child was released and returned to his old home in Ansan near Seoul on Saturday (December 12) while igniting public outrage.
Cho Doo-soon was 57 when he was convicted in 2009 of raping an 8-year-old girl so violently that she was left with permanent internal injuries.
