“The new Malaysia should not be confrontational towards China, and should instead focus on Beijing's productive projects in Malaysia”, says Prof Dr Edmund Terence Gomez of University of Malaya.
Prof Gomez who was at the China Conference on Wednesday said investments flow into Malaysia could be affected if the approach towards China was not sorted out.
Showing sectors in which there were productive projects from China that had helped the local economy, he urged the government of Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad to give more emphasis on these.
