The Education Ministry has launched an investigation after a nine-year-old pupil died after falling into an uncovered sewer pit at a school in Lenggeng, Negri Sembilan, on Saturday (Sept 27).
Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek said in a Facebook post that strict action will be taken if any breach of standard operating procedures (SOPs) is found, stressing that the safety and well-being of students and staff must never be compromised.
