A school in Trang, Thailand has gotten their secondary school students involved in producing a special balm brand.
Made from crude palm oil, the brand is called ‘Wichianmart 3’, named after the school.
The school’s teacher has claimed that the balm acts as a moisturiser and UV protector, apart from functioning as a mentholated ointment.
Their students would extract the palm oil from the palm fruit before completing the balm’s production process at a workshop in the school.
The school has also produced a range of products from palm oil, including fertilisers and a liquid cleanser, helping to generate an income for the school and students involved in the production process.
