Takiyuddin: Govt looking into drafting special law to deal with contempt of court cases

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Takiyuddin Hassan told the Dewan Rakyat on Tuesday (Aug 4) that the government is studying the need to formulate a special law to deal with the rising number of contempt of court cases especially on social media more effectively.
He said the government is looking into drafting a special law similar to Singapore's Administration of Justice (Protection) Act 2016 to deal with such cases.
