Takiyuddin questions legality of his proposed six-month suspension from Parliament

Opposition chief whip Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan is challenging his six-month suspension from Parliament, calling it “double jeopardy” and an attempt to silence scrutiny of government procedures.

The Kota Bharu MP said the motion, to be tabled by Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, overlaps with an ongoing referral to the Parliamentary Rights and Privileges Committee by Suhaizan Kayat, which has yet to conclude.
