Task force to tackle illegal gambling in KL formed, five areas in focus

A task force had been formed to tackle illegal gambling activities in Kuala Lumpur, said Comm Datuk Seri Mazlan Lazim.
The Kuala Lumpur police chief said that on Tuesday, adding that police are very serious in curbing illegal gambling in the city and the task force will focus on five main areas: Cheras, Sentul, Dang Wangi, Brickfields, and Wangsa Maju as well as looking into illegal online betting.
Comm Mazlan also said he hopes the public can provide information if they suspect any premises in the city that are conducting illegal betting and urged the public to go through proper channels to report any criminal activities happening in their area.
