Tens of thousands of people marched for a second day in Myanmar’s Yangon city on Sunday, and thousands more assembled across the country to protest against the military junta's coup and detention of elected leader Aung San Suu Kyi last week.
The protests were the biggest in the country since the 2007 Buddhist monk-led Saffron Revolution.
Many protesters chanted, "We don't want military dictatorship! We want democracy!"
Myanmar's military seized power in the early hours of Feb 1, saying they will take actions in response to allegations of fraud in the country’s elections in November last year.
