Thai international hot air balloon festival expects to rake in USD28 mil

Organisers of the Thailand International Balloon Festival, which will begin on March 4 to 5 in Chiang Mai, is expecting over 12,000 visitors and a sales profit of US$28 mil.
The annual event has been held for the past eight years and has gained popularity among the locals. Participants from ten European countries are also expected.
Some 30 hot air balloons will be launched on the opening day together with a series of musical performances and an exhibition of international food.
