Those who would like to see Asia’s version of the Grand Canyon can visit the Kapong Grand Canyon in Phang Nga, Thailand.
The new tourist attraction is drawing hordes of visitors thanks to its unique landscape which resembles Arizona’s famous Grand Canyon in the US.
The Kapong Grand Canyon was previously a tin mine. Water-jet excavation work was done decades ago here.
Its unique landscape is filled with many jagged stone hills.
Visitors can trek along a creek which leads to the Grand Canyon from a neighbouring province’s main road.
The canyon is incredibly scenic in the morning, especially during the wet season, with thick fogs hovering over the lush forests.
