About 100km away from Surabaya, Java, this East Javan town is home to about 200 English language centres, thousands of students coming from all over Indonesia every year and a few others from around the region. And it started from one man, who came up with a centre teaching it in 1977, which has seen Pare earning the title of Kampung Inggeris, or English Village.
