The rush to get interstate travel permit at police stations

Many people queued up at various local police stations Tuesday night to submit an application to travel to other states, following Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador’s earlier announcement that exemption letters would be issued to those who need to travel for important matters or emergencies.
Update as of 11pm: Bukit Aman rescinds ban on inter-state travelling following large influx of people at police stations Tuesday night.
The IGP however strongly advised the public to stay home and limit their travels.
