Tourist guide association seeks government's help to get Malaysians to holiday locally

The Penang Tourist Guides Association (PTGA) is seeking the government's help to encourage Malaysians to go on Cuti-Cuti Malaysia holidays following the recent novel coronavirus scare.
Its president Chin Poh Chin said instead of outward bound travels, the government could now concentrate on domestic travel packages by offering incentives for Malaysians to explore our own country.
Chin said that after a gathering of PTGA members at Esplanade in Penang on Monday to show solidarity for the tourism industry here, which has been badly hit following the global coronavirus spread.
