True independence means eradicating corruption and social ills, says Anwar

Celebrating independence should also mean resolving to eliminate corruption and eradicating the ills harming the nation and its people, says Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Anwar said there will be no compromise in tackling these issues.

He said in his National Day address at Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS) on Saturday (Aug 30).
