Two Malaysian nationals charged in Australia for importing methamphetamine precursor

The Australian Border Force said on Wednesday (September 18) they had charged two Malaysian nationals with importing more than 1.2 tonnes of Ephedrine into Australia.
22-year-old Chong Weng Kay Chong, and 63-year-old Cheaw Min Yok Cheaw were charged on Tuesday with importing a commercial quantity of a border controlled precursor, which carries a maximum penalty of 25 years' jail and a possible fine of AUD1,050,000.
