Two-thirds of Malaysian workforce will use generative AI for up to 20% of their work, says report

Deputy Economy Minister Datuk Hanifah Hajar Taib on Friday (Sept 15) launched the first report by the Malaysia Centre for Fourth Industrial Revolution.
The report revealed that close to 65% of workers in Malaysia will potentially use generative artificial intelligence (AI) for between 5% and 20% of their regular work activities. It also highlighted that generative AI has the potential to unlock US$113.4bil in productive capacity in the country’s economy, equivalent to one-quarter of GDP in 2022.
