UK former PM Starmer to stand down as MP

Former British prime minister Keir Starmer said on Tuesday (Sept 1) that he would step down as a member of Parliament for Holborn and St Pancras.

Starmer resigned as prime minister six weeks ago after losing the support of his Labour Party.
