Prime Minister Boris Johnson was not alone when he cast his vote in Britain's general election on Thursday morning, walking to a central London polling station with his dog, Dilyn.
The election will either pave the way for Brexit under a Johnson-led government or propel Britain towards another referendum that could ultimately reverse the decision to leave the European Union.
