After more than a decade on the shelf, Dain Said’s horror film ‘Dukun’ is finally released on April 5. Actress Datin Paduka Umie Aida went to great lengths to prepare for her role as a shaman which included living with a snake for two months. ‘Dukun’ is believed to be loosely based on the sensational real-life case of Mona Fandey, a singer-turned-bomoh convicted for the 1993 murder of politician Mazlan Idris. She was executed on Nov 2, 2001 at age 45.
