UN: International humanitarian law “not an a la carte menu, cannot be applied selectively”

In a statement read by UN spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric in New York on Wednesday (Oct 31) in New York, the Secretary-General condemned the killing of civilians in Gaza and pointed out that international humanitarian law establishes clear rules that cannot be ignored.
“It is not an a la carte menu and cannot be applied selectively.”
