Unfair to brand everyone in T15 group as 'ultra rich', says Dr Wee

Labeling everyone in the top 15% income group (T15) as "ultra rich" is unfair to hardworking families, says Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.

Debating Budget 2025 on Tuesday (Oct 22), the Ayer Hitam MP noted that households earning over RM13,000 a month would lose access to petrol, health, and education subsidies.

He also criticised the proposed two-tier system for RON95 petrol subsidies, and recommended a single price for RON95.
