Unity meet: GPS supporting govt so focus is on improving country's fortunes, says Abang Jo

Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) is backing the government so that it can focus on improving the country's prestige on the international stage.

GPS chairman Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg said in a speech at the unity government convention on Sunday (May 14) that the government needs to focus on inter-regional development, especially for states bordering neighbouring countries.

Abang Johari, who is also Sarawak Premier, also said he would continue to administer the region's role in helping to channel efforts to develop Malaysia.
