US varsity students: Consider our situation

International students enrolled in colleges and universities in the United States are pleading with the US government to reconsider its latest immigration rules that may imperil the students if their universities switch to online-only courses in the fall semester due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The government said it will not issue visas to students attending online courses and those currently in the country must switch to other in-person programmes to continue using their visa.
