Vaccinate new mothers before they are discharged from hospital, Rina suggests

The Women, Family and Community Development Ministry has recommended that women giving birth in hospitals be given the Covid-19 vaccine before they are discharged.

Its minister Datuk Seri Rina Harun said that on Sunday (June 27), and also suggested for babysitters to be given the vaccination at 49 Nur Sejahtera Clinics.

The minister also acknowledged low vaccine registration rate involving people with disabilities (OKU), and added that the ministry was also in discussions with e-hailing companies to help provide transport for the group to the vaccination centres (PPV), as well as setting up drive-through PPVs for the group.
