The Health Ministry has completed a dry run of its Covid-19 vaccination delivery mechanism, transporting bottles of a saline solution to rural Sarawak to test the logistics and feasibility of the Pfizer vaccine supply chain.
The saline solution was transported at -70°C, the temperature at which the Pfizer vaccine needs to be stored.
It was a long, globetrotting trip that began on Monday when the saline solution left Belgium, where the Pfizer vaccine is being manufactured, to be flown to Singapore, then on to Subang, from where it was finally sent to Kuching.
