Venezuela's minister calls for calm after US strikes and capture of Maduro

Venezuelan Interior Minister Diosdado Cabello urged citizens to remain calm, emphasising that the country's population was organised and ready, after US airstrikes targeted the South American nation and captured its president Nicolas Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores on Jan 3.

Attorney General Tarek William Saab demanded proof of life for Maduro and Flores, while holding Washington directly accountable for their wellbeing.
