Wan Azizah: Baby dumping cases need to be tackled urgently

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail said baby dumping cases are on the rise and must be tackled with urgency.
Dr Wan Azizah, who is also the Women, Family and Community Development Minister, said that at the launch of the anti-baby dumping campaign in North-South Expressway (Plus) rest areas on Friday.
She added that the ministry is taking proactive steps by formulating advocacy and preventive strategies, as well as organising public awareness programmes, specifically for teenagers on their reproductive health.
